TMA Joint Providership Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) through the joint providership of South Texas Health System McAllen (STHS McAllen) and the South Texas Health System Clinics (STHS Clinics). STHS McAllen is accredited by the TMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians. South Texas Health System McAllen designates this live activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. South Texas Health System is a Joint Commission (TJC) accredited hospital and may provide EMS Continuing Education under the Texas Administrative Code Rule §157.38(e)(2)(B). This activity is designated a maximum of 8 EMS CE.

As a provider accredited by the Texas Medical Association, South Texas Health System McAllen Office of Continuing Medical Education must ensure balance, independence, and objectivity in all CME activities to promote improvements in healthcare & not proprietary interests of a commercial interest. The provider controls all decisions related to identification of CME needs, determination of educational objectives, selection and presentation of content, selection of all persons and organizations that will be able to control the content, selection of educational methods & evaluation of the activity.
